Angela Poschet

Producer

Angela Poschet's experience with Animation dates back to the International Trickfilm Festival Stuttgart in 1992. She was impressed immediately by the diversity in style animated films offer. She was working as a live-action camera woman then. Three years later she shot her first stop- motion short film. Since 1995 she has been working internationally as a lighting camera woman on famous pre-school shows such as 'Bob the Builder' and more recently also as studio director on “Miffy and Friends” and “Dragon”.

Apart from that she has worked on independent shorts (live action and animated) in collaboration with Sarah Ball, Peter Peake, Anja Struck to mention only a few. She has received numerous awards on her work at festivals in Annecy, Zagreb, Leipzig, Rio de Janeirio.

She produced her first short animated film for CINEMANIAX! Filmproduktion in 2002. This film was funded by the German FilmFernsehFonds Bayern (FFF). She also produced a stop-motion short for Unseenhand/UK “Hermit” which was funded by the Dutch FilmFonds, a co-production with Pedri Animation/Netherlands.

Frank Becher, executive producer of CINEMANIAX! and Angela Poschet are the initiators of the "30/30 - The Human Rights Animation Project.
